Ten Questions to Ask Before You Buy from a Himalayan Supplier

November 1, 2026  ·  Himalayan Region

Ten plain questions that separate a supplier who can show evidence from one who can only tell a story.

The Himalayan label sells well, so it is worth asking hard questions. These ten work with any supplier, including Himalayan Region™, a B2B sourcing company in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. We would rather be asked than trusted blindly.

Himalayan Region™: hill-village houses above terraced fields

  1. Where exactly does this lot come from? A district or village group, not just "the Himalayas".
  2. Wild or cultivated? Each has different volume and paperwork.
  3. Which batch is the sample from, and will the order match it?
  4. Can I see this batch's Certificate of Analysis?
  5. What licences does the producer and the exporter hold?
  6. Who handled the lot between harvest and packing?
  7. How does the supplier handle a failed test or a complaint?
  8. What happens in a poor harvest year?
  9. Which species or products are restricted for export, and how is that handled?
  10. Can I speak to someone who has bought from you before?

What good answers look like

Specific, dated and documented. A supplier who answers with adjectives only has not answered.
